Andrea was born and raised in Colombia, Andrea has a strong connection with her Latin American roots, however, at the age of 17, she moved to England, where she studied the English language and it was also the place where she started to develop her passion for fashion. As a “citizen of the world”, as she considers herself, she moved to Brazil where she graduated with a Master in International Business. At the age of 22, she went back to Colombia, and with all her educational knowledge and strong passion for fashion she had to develop in the past years, she founded the fashion brand SETA, along with her sister, Eliana. At 25, Andrea moved to Miami in order to keep growing her business. Her strong desire for constant education also led her to do Fashion Courses in Pattern Making and Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni Miami and Fashion Business in Milan, Italy.
Nowadays, SETA is an international brand that has participated in events such as New York Fashion Week in 2019 and Paris Fashion Week in 2020. Her designs have also been a feature in media outlets such as Vogue, Elle Magazine, Today Show, among others. Many celebrities have styled her designs, this includes Maluma, Danna Paola, Thalia, Laura Pausini, and influencers like Tezza, Serena Williams.
As a designer, she stands up for creating statement pieces, inspired by the inner power every woman has; embracing femininity and accepting masculinity. All her pieces are embellished with details and clear structures.
The uniqueness, versatility, and sophistication of her styles are what makes Andrea Salazar one of the most influential designers of Latin America.
